Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Technician, your key responsibilities will include:
1.
Performing routine and preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly and systems operate efficiently.
2.
Inspecting, operating, and testing machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
3.
Diagnosing mechanical problems and determining how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
4.
Repairing or replacing defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
5.
Troubleshooting and repairing faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems of machines.
6.
Programming and troubleshooting PLC controlled machinery.
7.
Maintaining records of each service performed on each machine.
8.
Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and procedures during all maintenance operations.
9.
Collaborating with the engineering team to understand, analyze, and improve machinery and processes.
10.
Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
2.
Proven experience in machine maintenance, troubleshooting, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs.
3.
A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with an ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
4.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
5.
Excellent problem-solving skills with an analytical mind.
6.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues in a clear and understandable manner.
7.
A proactive approach, with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
8.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9.
The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
10.
A relevant certification or diploma in a technical field is preferred.
